True Beauty Is Effortless....

This may be true, but sometimes it's nice to get all dolled up. Today we are all somewhat influenced by the expensive taste of the rich && famous. With that being said, welcome to a little piece of my world where High Society fashion meets a Middle Class budget...Enjoy!

Once you get tracks...it's hard to go back!

Ok Ok Ok....I admit, before college I was one of the biggest protesters against ANYTHING fake. This includes but not limited to eyelashes, nails, & especially hair! However, going off to school allowed me to meet so many different females from various backgrounds who all had the same thing in common: they wanted to look GOOD, on a decent budget! Now one of the first things I noticed about my new classmates is that they all (for the most part) kept their hair done. For a second I thought they must of all had a lot of money to be goin to the salon everyday, but as the year progressed I learned that a lot of them wore tracks that they either put in themselves or got their friends to do it. I was fascinated! Lol

YES I was curious, but I didn't get tracks until my sophomore year, for homecoming. I was so paranoid that it wouldn't look right that I paid over $200 to get it done at a salon! Although it came out nice, later on I realized that I could have gotten one of the girls on my campus to do it for free! Ugh...to this day I get mad at myself lol Anyways, this is what my first weave looked like. It's a half head, sewn in. The stylist made tiny cornrows going horizontally from ear to ear, he left out about an inch and a half of hair out between each row.The top crown of my hair is all left out. I can't remember the type of hair I used, but it was 100% human at $38.99 a pack (14 inch). It looks shorter because he razored it for a layered look. Oh yea, and I died my hair jet black to match the color which is a 1.
